Fourth Grade Policies

Attendance

School hours are 8:15am - 3:15pm. Please send your child to school everyday (unless he/she is sick). Please remember to send a written excuse for all absences. Also, it is imperative that all students are at school on time. Students arriving after 8:15am will be marked tardy, and students arriving after 10:00am will be marked absent.

 

Tuesday Folder

Please check your child’s Tuesday red folder for homework, work samples that need to be signed, progress reports, report cards, field trip permission slips, letters from the teacher, and etc.

 

Conferences

Our planning/ conference time is from 10:45-11:30am. Please feel free to e-mail, call, or write in order to schedule an “in house” or telephone conference. If you arrive without a conference we may be in meetings or otherwise unavailable.

 

Progress Reports/ Report Cards/ Grades

Askew Elementary School operates on a nine-weeks schedule. Progress reports are given in the fifth week of the cycle. If you are concerned about your child’s grades, please feel free to set up a conference with your child’s teacher.
