Parents,

 

Please cut a small wedge of any trees cut down from Hurricane Ike (3-4" thick).  We can use this for out study later in the year.

 

Also, When you are in another part of the state or another part of the country please allow your child to collect a water sample and a soil sample from a river, stream, pond or lake and a soil sample and label them with a permanent marker or tape on a piece of paper as to the collection location.  Please use plastic zip lock bags or plastic jars.   We only need about 3 ounces of soil or water or both.  We will have soil samples from all over the country to see and we will be able to test soil and water quality.  Thanks.
