The Askew PTO is a nonprofit parent teacher organization whose
membership is open to all parents, relatives, and staff.
Membership fees are nominal, $10 per year per family. The amount
of time you spend participating in PTO activities is entirely at
your discretion.
General meetings are held once a month at 8:30am in the school
library. They normally take place on the last Tuesday of the
month. Exact dates are posted in advance in the school
newsletter, on the website, and on posters in various locations
around the school.
The goal of the PTO is to enhance the educational experience of
all students by working with the school administration to ensure
that our children receive the best education possible. All
parents and faculty are encouraged to actively participate in
the organization through volunteering. We recognize, however,
that parents have a variety of demands on their time. Regardless
of how much time you have to spend on PTO activities, we need
you! There are numerous ways you can help. Perhaps what works
best for you is to show your support through contributing the
family membership fee, or maybe you can dedicate several hours
to a special event or fundraiser. The important thing is that
you become involved in your child's educational experience.
